KJO Participates in Offshore Middle East 2013 Doha
The auspices of H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Bin Saleh Al-Sada the Minister of Energy and Industry of Qatar, Offshore Middle East 2013 Conference and Exhibition was opened on Monday January 21st, 2013.
The Conference and Exhibition took place at Qatar National Convention Center, where no less than 60 experts and specialists from international companies came together, to address the challenges and share the experiences of the offshore production and exploration in the region.
KJO took part in the event with a recognized pavilion, which was attended by KJO Chairman Eng. Abdullah Al-Helal, A/MPG Riyadh Al-Hassan and delegates from Public Relations and Media Affairs Divisions. After cutting the opening ribbon, the Minister visited KJO pavilion where he was received by the Superintendent of Media Affairs Division, Faris Al-Subaie, who briefed the Minister about the joint operations and the participation dedicated to the event this year. The Media affairs Superintendent talked about the history of the joint operations and finally, handed the joint operations gift to H.E. the Minister.
Offshore Middle East 2013 is a leading event dedicated to the offshore exploration and production industries of the Gulf region. It has a reputation for providing the best networking opportunities and a forum for the sharing ideas and experiences in regards to offshore production, development and exploration. The event also covered other critical topics, including liquefied natural gas operations, pipelines and field developments, as well as securing the production flow. The joint operations widened its participation in the event this year by delivering a number of presentations in the pavilion, related to the offshore operations. TMD Eng. Ibraheem Al-Suwaid delivered a presentation about oil spills, oil spill control, marine environmental safety and the main precautions needed, to ensure marine safety at all times. OFD Fahad Al-Sehali also took part in the event, delivering a presentation about KJO gathering stations and the methodology of the exploration and development carried in KJO's operations. He further covered other topics regarding production and the history of the offshore operations.
