Information Technology
Oil business is technology driven. To stay competitive, we must be abreast of the latest trends and changes in and out of the Oil industry. Information Technology (IT) provides that means.
The KJO has purchased new PC’s and currently in the process of building a fiber optic based network that will eventually connect all PC’s together. This will facilitate communications through e-mail and file sharing, provides accesses to online policies manuals, forms and other sources of corporate information; provide access to online training courses (distance learning) and provide access to the Internet to carry out research and interface with other companies. Old computer systems will be phased out and replaced with an enterprise resources planning (ERP) system. This means that many of the employees will learn new computer skills and new ways of doing their jobs. Employee’s development will become an integral part of the new KJO.
