KJO ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Aramco Gulf Operations Company Limited [“AGOC”] and Kuwait Gulf Oil Company [K.S.C.] [“KGOC”] jointly operating at and from Al-Khafji, Saudi Arabia for oil and gas exploration, development and production offshore areas.

KJO organization has undertaken to develop and implement an environmental management system for the attainment of policy objectives and targets in mitigation against the environmental effects of its activities. KJO’s Environmental Policy Statement is based on the following principles:

1. KJO shall comply with relevant environmental regulations and other requirements applicable to its operating activities. In particular, KJO aims to meet the environmental standards specified by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Kuwait, and shall develop appropriate guidelines compatible with the objectives of environmental protection prevailing in the region.

2. In pursuit of its activities, KJO undertakes to conduct its operations while paying full attention to prevention of pollution to air, soil, water sources and the marine environment. KJO undertakes to conserve natural resources and improve cost effectiveness through improvements in operating efficiencies.

3. In accordance with its commitment to continual improvement, KJO undertakes to cooperate with government and industry and if necessary, participate in the development of effective environmental control programs and regulations.
 
4. In addition, each department within the KJO organization undertakes to ensure that its facilities are designed and operated in compliance with the established Environmental Standards and, that they will continue to target zero risk to the environment or public health.

5. KJO undertake to communicate its environmental policy to employees, vendors, customers and other interested parties.
