Spontaneously, after the termination of AOC concession agreement on February 27, 2000 with the Saudi side ARAMCO Gulf Operations Company (AGOC)commenced its activities on next day, February 28, 2000 and took over the Saudi Government share of oil production and other products in the divided zone which comprises of oil fields:

Al-Khafji field; Hout field; Lulu field; Dorra field

Since the beginning, Saudi employees realized the importance of this newborn national company and consequently found reassurance in its credibility when the company transferred all Saudi workers from the AOC to the AGOC maintaining all of the rights and the privileges they gained throughout their years of service without any changes. This actually assured and afforded them with more confidence and motivated them to exert more efforts right at the very beginning of the new company’s operations.

Since its commencement, the AGOC has assumed the strategy of establishing relations marked with mutual trust and confidence and openness as a base of relationship communications with its staff and employees. This laid down a solid ground for a strong company and employee relationship.

AGOC Board of Directors is chaired by Mr. Mohammed Y. Rafe’e while Mr. Mohammad A. Al Shammary occupies the position of the President & CEO
